Roberto joined SAIP in 2009 as a sales assistant and then gained more and more responsibility. ‘SAIP’s structure is rewarding: as the company grows, it is structuring its organisation chart with more and more specific roles. In particular, I am now dedicated to the Oil&Gas and offshore sector. This offers customers many specific skills and ad hoc solutions’.
The company’s aim is to make not only its institutional know-how but also individual skills available to customers. In the case of Roberto Licopodio, for example, foreign customers can choose to deal with SAIP in 6 different languages, with all the convenience of speaking in their mother tongue.
The development of the commercial area
SAIP has evolved a lot and quickly, especially in the last two years since its acquisition by the investment fund. The company has grown by 40 per cent since 2022, from 35 to 52 employees.
‘SAIP has a propulsive vision, which is also clear in the reorganisation that is taking place within the company: the management structure has changed from a family structure to an organisation designed for broader and more systematic growth.
In regard to the sales network, the team now consists of five people, with professionals dedicated to proposals and spare parts.

Saip today operates globally, on all 5 continents.
‘The company is not standing still: our future development includes strengthening the commercial structure and entering new markets.
We will, of course, also continue to grow qualitatively, ensuring an increasingly proactive and widespread service, as well as proposing new high-technology and high-performance products.’
